  • Each post lists exactly what we need (e.g., résumé, brief cover letter, writing sample for attorney roles). Include every item marked “required.” Optional items, like a cover letter for non-legal roles, are always appreciated because they help us get to know you.  

  • You can’t re-open it yourself, but if you discover a major error, email Recruiting@hembreebell.com with the corrected file and we’ll attach it for you.  

  • We review new applications every business day and aim to email next-step details within three business days of your submission. Be sure to check spam folders and whitelist emails from our recruiting address.  

  • Yes, every applicant receives an email update whether or not we advance the application.  

  • We explain the position, ask about your experience (STAR* responses encouraged), and leave time for your questions. Introductory virtual interviews last 30 minutes; subsequent interviews are 45–60 minutes with a few members. 

  • Simply reply to the last email we sent. If that address is “no-reply,” email the recruiter listed in your interview confirmation.  

  • From application to offer, most roles take two to four weeks.

  • Some positions (e.g., legal writing, billing accuracy, marketing design) include a short job-specific exercise. If selected, your recruiter will provide full instructions. All offers are contingent on standard background checks.

  • At this time we are unable to sponsor employment visas or provide work-authorization sponsorship.
