Tanya Monique Boyce joins Hembree Bell Law Firm as a family law attorney driven by a powerful blend of professional expertise and profound personal experience. Originally hailing from New York City, Tanya returned to her roots to earn her Master’s in Urban Planning from Hunter College, City University of New York. Having grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area, she returned there after graduate school to raise her daughter. After 18 years as a Bay Area Urban Planner/Economic Development professional, once her daughter headed to college, Tanya decided to fulfill a lifelong goal of becoming an attorney and graduating from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2022. Being bi-coastal for the majority of her life, in 2024 Tanya decided to follow her adult daughter and make her home in Texas.

After many years of involvement in the public and private financing and construction of residential development and public infrastructure, her original intention was to become a real estate and land use lawyer. However, her trajectory shifted focus two years ago when her father began experiencing dementia. Navigating the challenging legal process to become his legal guardian sparked a new calling.

Determined to guide other families through similar emotional and legal landscapes, Tanya earned her Guardian Ad Litem certificate and now passionately helps clients secure guardianship over incapacitated loved ones. Her experience with her father also inspired her to become a licensed life insurance agent, allowing her to help families comprehensively protect their financial futures. Whether navigating guardianship, divorce, or custody, the lawyers involved in guiding families through life's most emotionally challenging moments are a special breed—they must be not only smart, meticulous and tenacious, but also deeply empathetic and compassionate, and Tanya is proud to consider herself exactly such an attorney.

Holding three academic degrees and a notary license, Tanya brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge and heart to Hembree Bell Law Firm. Outside the office, she is an avid gardener who loves all water sports and treasures daily park walks with her senior dog and best friend, Jubilee.
