After graduating from high school in El Paso, Texas, Maribel was a fulltime mother and military spouse. Her and her family were stationed in North Carolina, California, and Japan and traveled extensively. While her family was stationed overseas, she continued to serve her community by serving on various non-profit organization’s boards, with a focus on education and athletics. Her experience as a military spouse gave her the unique opportunity to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and cultures. She began working in family and criminal law in 2018 after her husband retired and her family returned to Texas. Maribel received her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies in December 2021 from University of Maryland Global Campus.
