John Flud

John Harrison Flud began his professional life in the business sector. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Flud spent many years owning and operating a wholesale business and two years working for a Fortune 250 company as an outside sales representative. After several years in business, Mr. Flud finished his undergraduate and graduate education and decided to enter the practice of law. Mr. Flud went to law school at South Texas College of Law Houston where he graduated summa cum laude (top 2%) with a Juris Doctor.

Mr. Flud began his legal career working for a family-law firm called Jenkins and Kamin, LLP. During his time at Jenkins and Kamin, Mr. Flud’s practice was focused exclusively on family law. He handled hundreds of family law cases involving divorce, child custody, property division, Child Protective Services, child support, termination and adoption, enforcement actions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, etc. During this time, Mr. Flud also did amicus and attorney ad litem work in cases involving Child Protective Services (CPS) and contested child custody matters.

A couple of years into his practice, Mr. Flud transitioned to a law firm called West, Webb, Allbritton and Gentry in College Station. With this transition, Mr. Flud broadened his law practice to include other areas of civil law, including personal injury and torts, contract and property disputes, probate, guardianship, and appellate work. During this time, Mr. Flud greatly expanded his understanding of civil law and his skills as a civil litigator.

As a civil litigator, Mr. Flud has done it all. He has done bench and jury trials, depositions, mediations, appeals, and many contested court hearings. Mr. Flud is always glad when parties can resolve their disputes amicably by agreement, but he is not afraid to fight it out in the courtroom when agreement is not possible.

Mr. Flud was born and raised in Oklahoma. He moved to Texas in 2004 and has been here ever since. Mr. Flud has two children. His son serves in the Army, and his daughter is in middle school. Mr. Flud enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, watching movies and sitcoms, and hiking when he can.
